Business Meeting ASIA 2017 in Bangkok was held in Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit Hotel in Thailand on 1
stNovember, 2017. The global companies in the field of ICT, Electrics, Electronics, Machinery, Metal, Automation, Robot, Smart Embedded and 3D Convergence participated in this business meeting. The event was co-organized by Asian Science Park Association, Thailand Science Park, Thai-BISPA, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Daegu branch, Daegu Technopark, INNOPOLIS Foundation and Daegu Technopark Mobile Technology Convergence Center. Various companies from Korea and Hong Kong attended the meeting to expand their business in Thai market.
Business Matching
Business Meeting ASIA 2017 in Bangkok started with the welcome speech by Dr. Janekrishna Kanatharana, Executive Vice President of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). It was followed by the opening speech of Dr. Sunkook Kwon, Secretary-General of ASPA. The business matching has started after then and each company had meetings with the related local Thai companies. The meetings were pre-arranged and the participants had fruitful meetings to discuss the potential business opportunities and cooperation.
Technical Tours

ndNovember, the participants visited two companies in Thailand as a technical tour. The first company they visited was ‘Siam Poongsan Metal Co., Ltd.’. Siam Poongsan Metal is the only manufacturer of rolled copper and copper alloy products in Southeast Asia. Main products manufactured are copper and copper alloy sheets and strips, coin blanks and materials for ammunition. After then, they paid a visit to ‘POSCO-Thainox’. The company manufactures cold-rolled stainless steel and it is located in Rayong Industrial Park. It was a good opportunity for the participants to look around the facilities of the factory and to see how the products are actually made.
