Business Meeting ASIA 2012 in Malaysia
On Nov 7, ‘The 14th Business Meeting ASIA’ was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with the co-organizer, Technology Park Malaysia. About 100 participants from 32 Asian small and medium venture enterprises which were recommended by ASPA organization members and the related parties had the fruitful time at 'Business Meeting ASIA 2012 in Malaysia'. Especially, Dr. Sunkook Kwon, Secretary-General of ASPA and YBhg. Dato’ Haji Mohd Azman Bin Haji Shahidin, CEO of Technology Park came to grace the opening ceremony with their presence.
I. Company Presentations
On the morning of Nov 7, sixteen Asian small and medium venture enterprises made the presentations to introduce their products and technologies.
Ⅱ. Business Matching
The 32 Asian companies from China, Hong Kong, Jordan, Korea, Malaysia, Russia and Thailand in the fields of ICT, Engineering, Green Energy, Nano Energy and Renewable Energy participated in the event and they had the 54 one-on-one business matches in total. Especially, the staff from Gyeonggi Technopark, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks and Isfahan Science & Technology Town attended the opening ceremony and graced the occasion.
Ⅲ. Technical Tour
On Nov 8 and 9, the meeting participants visited ‘Malaysian Institute of Microelectronics Systems(MIMOS) and Cyverview Sdn. Bhd.’ for the technical tour. The visit was considered very useful to get the related information for the visitors who work in the similar field of industry. After that, they also visited 'Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia Berhad(SIRIM)'. The participants also experienced the demonstration of casting with the guidance of the manager. The multilateral business meeting will be held next year again and the ASPA Secretariat will do its best to have Asian SMEs find more business opportunities through the meetings in future. We do hope this kind of business meeting will provide more opportunities with the ASPA members to strengthen the relationship among the Asian venture enterprises.
