DG Entertainment presented a metaverse platform 'Play World 3D'

DG Entertainment, located in Nam-gu, Daegu, Korea, is a leading company of metaverse platform. Baek Jae-seong, CEO of DG Entertainment, is also the president of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Virtual Augmented Reality Industry Association.

DG Entertainment originally developed and served virtual environments necessary for online games and augmented reality educational contents. Last year, however, they jumped into the metaverse business with the establishment of '3D graphics engine' which allows access to the metaverse environment without installing an application. By developing its own technology which plays an important role in the network system of the metaverse, they created 'Play World 3D', a metaverse platform. Up to 10,000 people can access to this platform at the same time.

Since 17th September, DG Entertainment have presented 'Play world 3D' applied to online exhibition of 'SCIENCEPARK INNOFAIR 2021 (SPIF 2021)' hosted by Daegu City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Asian Science Park Association (ASPA).

Participants can take a look around the Metaverse Exhibition, in which 180 companies participate, with their PC or smartphone without installing any applications. By taking look around the booths in the virtual space, people can get information about exhibitors and their items, and it is also possible to exchange business cards or have a chat between participants.
