the entrepreneurship ecosystem with Teknopark Istanbul

Presidency of Defense Industries and Teknopark Istanbul also reached an agreement to start the "Cyber ​​ Security Acceleration and Incubation Program" for the development of Turkey's cyber security ecosystem.

While implementing the 'Strategic Solution Partnership' cooperation protocol with ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN, TEI and BMC for entrepreneurial activities, the Presidency of Defense Industries and Teknopark Istanbul launched the 'Cyber ​​ Security Acceleration and Incubation Program' for the development of Turkey's cyber security ecosystem.

According to the Teknopark Istanbul statement, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Chairman of the Board of Teknopark Istanbul Prof. Dr. Metin Yerebakan and Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal Topçu, signed with the participation of the giants of the defense industry are opening up to the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

According to the statement, a business partnership model will be created within the Teknopark Istanbul Incubation Center building with the 'Strategic Solution Partnership' cooperation protocol. Within the framework of the program, corporate cooperation with strategic solution partners, open innovation, in-house entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship activities, as well as support programs for entrepreneurs will be organized. In the first stage, the protocol signed between 6 institutions; It is aimed to expand technoparks, satellite and co-incubators, with the participation of different foundations and Ministry of National Defense companies and the private sector.

Within the scope of the program, it is aimed to ensure faster, more effective and more efficient management of incubation services and to achieve a stronger competitive capacity for strategic solution partners. In addition, 'Cube Incubation', the incubation center of Teknopark Istanbul; promoting the open innovation program on behalf of the strategic solution partners, managing the entrepreneurial application processes, determining the entrepreneurial characteristics that the strategic solution partners may need, evaluating the applicants and matching them with the strategic solution partners, making use of infrastructure opportunities, providing office support, providing mentorship services, selling and selling products and services. will provide critical support such as marketing.

Within the framework of performance measurement and monitoring during the program process, a thematic call will be opened in technologies and sectors of strategic importance for Strategic Solution Partners, and call-based entrepreneurship programs will be supported.

On the other hand, the Presidency of Defense Industries and Teknopark Istanbul agreed to launch the 'Cyber ​​ Security Acceleration and Incubation Program' for the development of Turkey's cyber security ecosystem.

At IDEF'21, a signing ceremony was held for the said agreement with the participation of President of the Presidency of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, Chairman of the Board of Teknopark Istanbul Prof. Dr. Metin Yerebakan and Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal Topçu.

Studies on the cooperation protocol within the scope of the 'Cyber ​​ Security Acceleration and Incubation Program' will be implemented in Turkey's first and only cyber security incubation center to be opened in the Incubation Center building of Teknopark Istanbul. The execution of the program will be under the leadership of the Teknopark Istanbul Incubation Center team, under the coordination of the Defense Industry Presidency Cyber ​​ Security Department and the Turkey Cyber ​​ Security Cluster team.

With the Cyber ​​ Security Acceleration and Incubation Program, the increase in innovative cyber security initiatives despite the cyber threats brought by the rapid digital transformation before and after the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, contributing to the reduction of cyber attacks and providing different infrastructure activities for the new cyber security centers to be established. perspective is aimed.

On the other hand, within the scope of the program, it will be possible to find solutions to the problems experienced by cyber security startups that have brought their innovative business idea to the prototype stage, to remove the obstacles in their opening to the global market, to establish cooperation and to achieve global success, trainings, technical mentoring and consultancy, psychological support, access to investment, marketing support. Extremely important items such as infrastructure facilities will be presented with the cooperation of many universities and corporate companies in order to achieve the goals.
