Welcome New Vice President of National Science & Technology Park (NSTP)
Dr. Rizwan Riaz assumed the office of Vice President at the National Science
& Technology Park (NSTP) in April 2021, bringing with him extensive
experience of academics, research and technology management. A graduate in
Aeronautical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, USA,
with distinction in 1990, he obtained Masters in Aerospace Engineering from
National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Pakistan, in 2004 and
PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Computational Fluid Dynamics) from University of
Manchester, UK, in 2008.
Dr. Rizwan has over a decade of experience in R&D, project
management, organisational R&D policy, and academia-industry linkage
measures. He has been part of national level projects which have won him
laurels and saved the nation millions in foreign exchange. As VP NSTP, Dr. Rizwan is committed to promoting meaningful R&D, innovation and technology
transfer. He aims to strive towards facilitating collaboration among key
stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem and for the creation of products &
services with positive social and economic impact.
