HKSTP to Roll Out Financial Relief Measures for Incubatees

18 Mar 2020

Hong Kong, 18 March 2020 Further to the recent announcement of the “Anti-epidemic Fund” by the HKSAR Government covering 6-month full rental waiver for Science Park, the Industrial Estates and InnoCentre, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) today rolled out incremental measures to alleviate the financial burden of our technology incubatees affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak.

This new round of additional financial subsidies will cover all incubatees under the three Incubation Programmes, namely Incu-App, Incu-Tech and Incu-Bio, between April to September 2020. Around 400 incubatees will benefit from the relief measures. The funding support is capped at a total amount of HK$75,000 for each company.

Albert Wong, CEO of HKSTP, said, “As the city’s leading incubation hub, HKSTP strives to support our incubatees in every possible way. We hope that the relief measures will enhance the financial flexibility and operational capabilities of our incubatees so that they can focus on their R&D work. HKSTP will brave through the coronavirus epidemic together with our startup community. We will continue to serve as the backbone for Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem and help our startups thrive.”
