The Fifth National Conference of STPIA Closed in Zahedan

The Fifth National Conference of Iran Association of Science Parks and Innovation Organizations, themed “The Future of Innovation Organizations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” was held on November 5–6, 2025 at Sistan and Baluchestan Science and Technology Park in Zahedan. The event gathered around 250 managers and experts from 31 provinces, including leaders of science and technology parks, universities, funds, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders. Out of 82 submitted papers, 57 were accepted: 16 oral, 27 poster, and 14 published in the proceedings. The opening featured speeches by senior officials and experts. Over two days, eight specialized sessions explored key AI-related topics such as data security, AI-driven company evaluation, digital transformation, financial institutions’ roles, organizational scalability, AI implementation challenges, human resource adaptation, and redefining the roles of parks and funds. The conference also included an AI achievements exhibition, a visit to the South-East Museum of Iran, and the Association’s General Assembly. The General Assembly was also held on the first day, during which the fifth Board of Directors of the Association and the host of the next conference were elected. Hormozgan Science and Technology Park received the highest number of votes from the Assembly members and was therefore selected as the host of next year’s conference.The closing ceremony featured remarks from national science and innovation leaders and honored top papers, sponsors, and Doogiyan Award (Honoring distinguished companies, developed with the support of science and technology parks that are members of STPIA, which have made the greatest impact on the formation and development of the technology and innovation ecosystem at the national or regional level). Overall, the conference emphasized AI’s growing influence on Iran’s innovation ecosystem and strengthened collaboration among parks, funds, and universities.
