On August 20, during the closing ceremony of the 27th ASPA Annual Conference, ASPA presidential retirement and inauguration ceremony was held.

The 4th ASPA President Dr. Yeong-Junaq Wang (former Director-General of Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan)'s ASPA Presidential term, which was started in 2018, ended with the end of the 27th ASPA Annual Conference on August 21.

Since 2018 when Dr. Wang started his term, he had made many contributionsencouraging ASPA members to actively explore a way ofplaying a key role for the regional development through ASPA events. Thanks to all his dedicated support, ASPA could develop further and expand its network beyond Asia.

ASPA Secretariat deliver our special appreciation to Dr. Wang and wish him a retirement life full health and happiness.

Dr. Wang's farewell remarks was followed by inauguration of the 5th ASPA President Mr. Youngjib Kim (President of Gwangju Technopark, Korea).

Mr. Kim, who was elected as vice president (President-elect) at the 41st ASPA Board of Directors Meeting in 2023, began his term as the 5th ASPA President from August 22, 2024.

Mr. Kim had actively participated in the ASPA events as one of board members of ASPA before he was elected as ASPA President and also has been passionate for making ASPA a global network between STPs.
