Former White House National Security Advisor Ambassador Led Delegation Visited the Hsinchu Science Park
Ambassador Robert O'Brien, the former National Security
Adviser of the White House, led a delegation of the Global Taiwan Institute
(GTI) to the Hsinchu Science Park on March 23 and were received by Director
General of the Hsinchu Science Park, Dr. Wayne Wang, in person. Vice President
of UMC Group, Mr. Lin-Wu Kuo, and Vice President of PSMC, Mr.Jun Gu, also attended the talk. Director
General Wang said in open remark that Hsinchu Science Park is the first science
park in Taiwan and has significantly upgraded local high-tech industry
development and contributed a great deal to regional economy. Ambassador
O'Brien and delegates were deeply impressed by the remarkable production
competence and supply chain niches of semiconductor industry in Taiwan and
changed views with Director General Wang and Vice Presidents regarding market
strength and talent resources of semiconductor industry in Taiwan.
